WHO ARE WE?
Why a Teahouse is Creating Journeys

Hi, we’re LA.KAO - a teahouse tucked away in Hội An, specializing in artisanal teas harvested from wild ancient trees in the high mountains of Vietnam.
Every day, we brew tea and share stories about where it comes from, how it's made, and the people behind it.Quite often, guests would ask us: “Do you organize tea tours?”
The truth is, we always have. Just for ourselves.Over the years, we’ve routinely traveled into high-altitude forests and traditional craft villages to source our tea directly. What began as a pursuit of tea quality slowly grew into a rich, trusted network of master craftspeople, local hosts, and secluded places that rarely appear on standard tourist maps.We realized that the way we explore - with care, curiosity, and respect - is something we want to share. We don’t offer standard tours with a quick stop at a tea garden; we offer intimate, private journeys shaped by real relationships and a deep appreciation for the land.Just as we are particular about our tea, we take pleasure and travel seriously, too.

FAQ
1. Does every journey have to focus on tea?
Not at all. Tea is simply our starting thread. We tailor your journey around what interests you most - whether that is remote nature and landscapes, traditional crafts and heritage, regional food culture, or peaceful retreat space.2. What level of comfort can we expect?
It depends on where we go. Visiting remote tea regions may involve simple, authentic homestays, while other regions allow for boutique hotels and comfortable stays. We'll talk through your preferences and explain what's realistically available in each destination before finalising the itinerary.3. How much does a journey cost?
As a general guide, budget around US$400–$500 per person per day, inclusive of private hosting, local travel, curated stays, and meals. Final pricing depends on group size, dates, and accommodation choices, which we will detail transparently in your proposal.4. What happens after our first conversation?
We will craft a personalized draft itinerary and detailed cost breakdown. Together, we fine-tune the plan until it feels right before securing your journey.5. How far in advance should we reach out?
We recommend booking 4 to 8 weeks in advance so we have enough time to thoughtfully curate your experience and coordinate with our local hosts.
